Explanations
[1] = John D. Rockefeller was elected President in 1908. The US had no Progressive era, so the country devolved into a full oligrachy with Rockefeller and his ilk rulling with an iron fist. In 1917 there was a massive revolution, shot heard round the world and Rockefeller disposed by a variety of Liberals, Communists, Socialists, and even some Conservatives sick of the Right-Wing Rockefellers tyrannical rain.
[2] = Roosevelt briefly gained power, governing from the liberal faction.
[3] = Hiram Johnson leading the Social Democratic faction gained power, before being overthrown by Eugene Debs and the Communist Party. "Marxism-Debism" would become the United States ideology, as it descended into an authrotiarian Marxist/Communist dictatorship.
[5] William Foster defeated James Buchanan for Communist leadership, and began massive collectivization forced programs and socialism of the economy. Foster proved to be a brutal tyrant, killing anyone who opposed him.
[6] = After Fosters death, Chairman of the South Carolina Communist Party Strom Thurmond briefly took power, until it was handed over to Lyndon Johnson. Johnson, Governor of Texas, purged the party of Fosterists and brought about the policy of "De-Fosterization" and engaged in talks with the Roman Republic, however the cold war had already begun.
[7] = Richard Nixon gained power, forming an alliance with CIA Director J Edgar Hoover, Party boss Walter Reuther, and George Wallace. Nixons reign was brutal, and proved to be quite similar to Fosters.
[8] = Walter Mondale began the "De-USARifiction)" of America. There was a coup against him in 1991 lead by old-time Communists such as Zell Miller, Bernie Sanders, Ted Kennedy, and Richard Shelby. However, the coup was defeated
[9] = Bill Clinton took charge, and involved on a journey of massive privatization of former Communist controlled industries. This led to massive outrage, as the country bleeded out to Oligraches.
1996 Presidential Election
Clintons opinion was at a historical low point, with his "Shock Therapy" Economic Reforms extremely unpopular, and he faced rebellions by Texas Nationalists, lead by Rick Perry.
Round 1
President Bill Clinton (Independent) 36%
Vermont Governor and leader of the Vermont CP Bernie Sanders (Communist Party of the Union of American States) 32%
Jesse Jackson (Congress of American Communities) 15%
California Governor Jerry Brown (American Democratic Party) 8%
Pat Buchanan (Liberal Democratic Party) 6%
Round 2
Polls initially saw Sanders with a large lead. Sanders had formed an alliance of the elderly angry with privatized pensions, Poor Citizens in the Mid-West/West who longed for a return to the old days of Communism were they had both economic and social security, and those longing for a return to the old. Clinton went missing for large portions of the campaign, but was able to come out the Victor. Polls showed a heavy age gap, with the elderly favoring Sanders and young Clinton.
President Bill Clinton (Independent) 56%
Vermont Governor and leader of the Vermont CP Bernie Sanders (Communist Party of the Union of American States) 43%
Continuation
[14/15] = Donald Trump, former chair of the New York Socialist Young Peoples League, gained fame during the 1994 Coup for standing on top of a tank and denouncing the Hard-Liners/Communists. The bombastic billionaire made a name for himself by making millions in the post-UASR era by buying off former industries and stocks. Trump defeated Communist Ted Kennedy and Liberal Reformer Lincoln Chafee in the 2001 election by a landslide. Originally a liberal, Trump quickly became an Authoritarian simply replacing the old-style Authoritarian Socialism of the UASR era with a Right-Wing version of it. After Trumps first term was over, he hand-picked his chosen successor, Barrack Obama of Illinois. The internal community had high hopes for Obama, who seemed like a liberal reformer. However, Obama turned out to be nothing more then a puppet of Trump.
