Conservative = Main right-of-center party. Big tent Conservatism (Democrats had Bryan not entered). Along with Labor, are generally the two main parties. Has two wings. A "Red Tory" wing which tends to be more centrist and "Blue Tory" wing which tends to be very Conservative/Individualistic and Libertarian economically well Socially Conservative. The third faction is the Reform faction, which is heavily nationalist, anti-immigration, and anti-NAEU.

American Labor Party (ALP) = Left-wing party, foundations of backing of Labor Unions (which in 2016 make up 30% of workforce as of 2014) and formed from the Socialist Party, Farmer-Labor, and last elements of the Populist Party to form a party to unify the Left. Along with the Conservatives are the two major parties. Has two factions generally the "Soft Left" and "Hard-Left". On FP the party is divided between Liberal Internationalists, Neo-Socialists, and Isolationists.

Liberal Alliance (usually called Liberals) = formed in 1946 as a merger of the Liberal Party (Republican party) and the Social Democratic Alliance (SDA, a group of right-wing Labor MPs believed Labor was to non-interventionist in FP and to close to Communists). The parties original champion was Wendell Wilkie. Generally centrist, and historically hawkish internationally (think a largely anti-communist liberal party of the center) has been in coalition with both parties, but is largely since the 70s a third party.

Minor parties: US Freedom Party (Right-Wing), Green party (Left-wing), Communist Workers (Far-Left), American Peoples Party (Far-Right), Libertarians, and several state parties

American National Front (ANF, also known as Dixecrats) = Formed after WW2 by right-wing segregationist Conservatives in response to Conservative PM Arthur Vadenberg integrating the military. They were lead by Strom Thurmond, but largely remained a southern only party until falling under leadership of Alabama MP and former Governor George Wallace (who had national ambitions of his own) in which they contested elections strongly outside of the South. After an assaniation attempt against Wallace in the 60s (at one point polling showed Wallace at over 20%) the party largely faded especially when the Conservatives took a hard-turn right absorbing much of there voter base. Later was taken over by Larry MacDonald (who remained the parties only MP into the 80s) before dissolving in the mid 90s.

Labor governments

Jack London (1921-1929) = won two terms, before being defeated in 1929 . First Labor PM, and resulted in the passive of massive legislation such as old age pensions, nationalized healthcare, massive government works programs and economic relief, farmers and unemployment insurance, establishment of national co-operatives (still in use today), and a heavy progressive income tax system. After the depression broke out (much weaker then OTL) the Conservatives returned to power lead by Calvin Coolidge (who London had defeated in 1921 largely on anti-war backlash). Much of his policy was orchestrated by Secretary of Commerce Upton Sinclair.

Huey Long (1944-1947) = Long was elected PM in 1939 running on the Share our Wealth platform (adopting many of defeated Labor candidate Upton Sinclairs EPIA (End Poverty in America)) policies. However, Longs bombastic style well initially popular proved to be his undoing after the war and allegations of corruption remained wide spread. After an attempt to nationalize the oil industry (which, failed) and sending in troops to arrest bankers (in which Long gave a famous speech "denouncing the plutocratic enemies of the American people") he was defeated in 1947 by Conservative George Patton. With the exception of a brief government formed with LDP coalition (lead by Robert Kennedy in the early 1960s) Labor would not gain power again until the 1980s.

Henry Wallace (1947) = was PM for just a year before being ousted in a landslide.

Robert F. Kennedy (1962-1964) = brief government before being ousted by the very Right-Wing Conservative Frank Hogan.

Ronald Reagan (1980-1981) = elected over Liberal Jimmy Carter and Conservative Paul Laxalt, Reagan remained committed to the ideology of Democratic Socialism denouncing both parties as "tools of the capitalist class". His foreign policy involved what was to be termed as "neo-socialism" using US foreign policy to spread social democratic governments against capitalist and communist ones. Promising to fight communism abroad and nationalize industry at home, Labor won its largest victory in 1979, however Reagans term would be short-lived as he died of a heart attack in 1981.

Jeane Kirkpatrick (1981-1992) = nicknamed "The Iron Lady of South Dixie" Kirkpatrick continued the policies of the Reagan admistration, a commitment to socialist nationalization of industry on the homefront well combating communism abroad.

Joe Biden (1992-1996) = More moderate then Kirkpatrick, was ousted in 1997 by the Tories.

John Edwards (2005-2010) = Labor retook power in 2005, with Edwards running on an anti-poverty message. However, personal sleazy shit and so fourth resulted in his defeat in 2010 to the Conservatives.
